Project Objectives:
Empower Youth affected by drug substances to become advocates for safety and security.
Provide comprehensive support to vulnerable groups, including older persons, women, and people with disabilities.
Foster social cohesion and community resilience.
Address socioeconomic challenges and poverty alleviation through sustainable livelihood initiatives.
Outcome 1:
Empower Youth Advocates for Safety and Security
Activities:
Conduct drug awareness and prevention workshops for Youth.
Train Youth as "Safety Ambassadors" to engage with law enforcement agencies.
Organise community safety campaigns led by Youth.
Outputs:
Five (5) Youth trained in drug awareness and prevention.
Twenty (20) Youth serving as Safety Ambassadors.
Four (4) Community safety campaigns conducted.
Resources Needed:
Facilitators for workshops.
Training materials and resources.
Awareness campaign materials.
Transportation for outreach activities.

Places - Mitchell’s Plain/Khayelitsha

Support Vulnerable Groups and Empower Them for Self-Sufficiency
Activities:
Establish support groups for older persons, women, and people with disabilities.
Provide counseling and skills training to support self-sufficiency.
Connect beneficiaries with employment and income-generating opportunities.
Outputs:
Five (5) Support groups established.
Ten (10) Beneficiaries receiving counseling and skills training.
Seven (7) Beneficiaries placed in employment or income-generating activities.
Resources Needed:
Counselors and trainers.
Training materials.
Access to employment resources.
Transportation support for vulnerable groups.
Target Areas:
Places - Mitchell’s Plain/Khayelitsha
Sub-Places - Mandalay, Watergate, Montclair, Bongweni Thembani and Ikwezi Park

Promote cultural exchange and understanding among diverse community members.

Three Hundred (300) Community events and workshops conducted.
One Hundred (100) Participants engaged in cultural exchange and dialogue.
One Hundred (100) Community support network established.

Event coordination and facilitators.

Monitoring and Evaluation:
Allocate 25 000 for monitoring and evaluation activities to assess project progress and impact.
Employ a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Conduct regular surveys, interviews, and focus groups to gather data on project outcomes and beneficiaries' experiences.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
Allocate R25 000 for stakeholder engagement activities, including meetings, workshops, and community events.
Collaborate with local government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders to leverage resources and support.
Sustainability Planning:
Allocate R100 000 for sustainability planning activities to ensure the project's continuity beyond the initial funding period.
Explore income-generating activities or social enterprises to generate revenue for project sustainability.
Reporting and Dissemination:
Allocate R50 000 for reporting and dissemination activities, including quarterly and annual reports, knowledge-sharing events, and media engagement.
